Melissa’s classes have strengthen me as a dancer and showed me a different perspective of how I see myself as a flamenca and how I want the audience to perceive my dance.
She has a unique way of challenging her students both physically and mentally, whether it is with intricate footwork, turns or with our dance language. She constantly comes up with dynamic exercises where we have to think of the intention behind our dance, what are we trying to project,  what do we need to communicate to our cuadro group so it can be transmitted to the audience in a natural but yet strong way.
Outdoor cuadro and semiprivate classes have been the food my soul needed. Dancing in nature while reconnecting with our flamenco community has been extremely fulfilling. I leave class inspired  and eager for more.

Las clases de Melissa me han fortalecido como bailaora y me han mostrado una perspectiva diferente de como me veo yo como flamenca y como quiero que la audiencia perciba mi baile.
Ella tiene una forma única de desafiar a sus alumnos no solo con complejos zapateos y vueltas pero también con nuestro lenguaje de baile. Melissa crea ejercicios dinámicos donde tenemos que pensar en la intención detrás de nuestro baile. Que queremos proyectar, que tenemos que comunicarle a nuestro grupo para luego poder transmitírselo a la audiencia de una manera natural pero también fuerte.
Las clases al aire libre, tanto privadas como semiprivadas era el alimento que mi alma necesitaba.
Bailar en la naturaleza reconectándonos  con la comunidad flamenca ha sido extremadamente satisfactorio. Siempre me voy de clase inspirada y queriendo más.
